QLD: Police charge nine over drugs

BRISBANE, April 13 AAP - Queensland police have arrested nine people on drug trafficking
charges and seized almost $6 million in property during a series of raids across Brisbane.

Queensland Police Service and Australian Crime Commission officers today executed search
warrants on 21 businesses and addresses.

A spokesman said nine people were arrested on 27 charges.

A man aged 41 and two aged 33 will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.

They face a number of charges including trafficking cocaine, heroin, amphetamines and ecstasy.

The other six people will appear in court at a later date.

Police also seized property worth $5.8 million during the raids.

The property includes dwellings, unit blocks, motor vehicles and a jet ski.

Bank accounts have also been restrained.
